In preparation for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, the project proposes an innovative connection between Linate Airport and the Segrate high-speed train station, via a suspended cable car crossing the Idroscalo. This infrastructure offers an opportunity to redevelop public spaces, improve accessibility, and enhance the areas behind Linate. The masterplan includes a new urban plaza, pedestrian areas, green spaces, cycle paths, and parking areas integrated into the landscape.
The proposal redesigns the airport's edges, making them accessible, with sustainable and low-impact solutions. The project was developed in collaboration with public bodies and local stakeholders to strengthen soft mobility and the attractiveness of the eastern Milan metropolitan area.
