Oosterdokseiland is an artificial island in the heart of Amsterdam, originally created for railway infrastructure in the early 1900s. Today, it is at the center of a major urban transformation: former industrial buildings are giving way to new residences, offices, public spaces, and cultural institutions such as the central library and the conservatory.
In this rapidly developing context, we worked on the design of the new urban landscape surrounding the future Booking.com headquarters, which will house over 6,000 employees. The project included strategic interventions on the waterfront, the public square, and pedestrian connections.
